AWARDSIAEOP selects an Administrator of the Year and an Educational Office Professional of the Year. The recipients of the awards are announced at our annual meeting in April. Those selected by IAEOP then are eligible to be nominated for the same awards from NAEOP. 2009 IAEOP Administrator of the YearDr. Andrew Giacomazzi
Congratulations to Dr. Andrew Giacomazzi, the recipient of the 08-09 IAEOP Administrator of the Year award. Dr. Giacomazzi is the Chair and Associate Professor at Boise State University, Department of Criminal Justice. His support for office professionals and BSUAOP is tremendous. He encourages his employees to attend the monthly luncheons and board meetings. Many times administrators will tell the office professionals how important they are, however, he "talks the talk and walks the walk" by not only his encouragement in becoming involved in local, state and national organizations, but also by the way he includes all employees in the decision making process. An example of his support is his continuous involvement with the annual BSUAOP Bosses' breakfast; he has co-hosted this event for the past four years. His achievements in the field of education are many. His service to the community must also be noted. He serves on various committees for the Ada County Sheriff's Department as well as Boise Police Department. |
